It's early autumn in Paradox and the temperature is only beginning to cool. It isn't too noticeable yet, but on some days, sweatshirts are needed. It's still green all around for the most part with only the maple trees beginning to change their colors.

The business district is more or less if you want your character to have a job at a business not listed as an option to role play at, or to have them stop in at a shop we don't have since there's so many. You can either post here and just say where they are or you can make a request for a sub-board of your liking to be made. Just PM a staff member.

[ ]Paradox Police & Fire
Every city needs a police and fire station. Paradox has their's connected. The police station, equipped with holding cells, is a smaller yet high-tech looking building with 'Police Station' on the front in block letters. To the right is a much larger, garage-type building with living quarters above it-- this is the fire station. They hold charity dances for the community every now and again.
00
[ ]Regal One Theatre
A recently built movie theater that has the interior of a rustic bar. The floor is old, dark glossed stone with brick walls. The ticket counter and snack counter are both thick wooden slabs with old registers on top. The theaters are straight ahead and to the right. The theaters are two-leveled; you an sit on the ground level or walk upstairs to the next level. There is an exit upstairs that leads to a small bar and grill. All staircases have rod iron railings with fancy designs.
00
[ ]Paradox General Hospital
Shit happens, and when it does, the hospital is open 24/7 with an ER to take patients at all hours of the day. The hopsital is fairly large, modern, and up to date on all the new technologies. Fully staffed with capable doctors, surgeons and nurses you can rest easy knowing you'll be well taken care of.
00
[ ]Consequence City Park
The city park, named Consequence City Park, co-exists with the town square. It's a fairly spacious fenced off portion in the middle of the city. Natural stone pathways wind through the green grass; all paths go to the center of the park where there is a large circle of paved stones with a giant stone fountain in the middle. Many toss coins in and make a wish while couples love to cuddle up on the fountains' wall.
00
[ ]Subzero
Subzero is the only night club in Paradox, making it the place to go for a good time. Live bands play everynight and, on friday and saturday nights, they feature burlesque dancers-- male and female, so no ones left out. The dance floor is on the main level with a bar while the upstairs features a small restaurant and lounge.

[ ]Buck Naked
Don't be fooled; Buck Naked is, in fact, a bar. Just a bar. One of many in Paradox, but quite popular just because of their catchy name. Tourists frequent it because of the name but the atmosphere is lively, the service good and the staff isn't so bad on the eyes. They have a mechanical bull for those rowdy nights when the crowd really gets going.

[ ]Phuk Et Café
Pronounced Fook et, however, both locals and tourists alike refer to it as - well - you know. It's a quaint family owned cafe that offers free wi-fi in a cozy atmosphere with a good sense of humor. As a gimic they do sell 'Phuk Et' t-shirts.
00
[ ]Laundromat on Main
The Laundromat is located right on Main Street. It's easy to miss as it's just a hole in the wall. Inside it's surprisingly up-to-date with fancy new washers and dryers. Washers are in the center of the building with dryers lining the whole back wall. Tubs, carts and seats are provided. On weekdays they offer dry-cleaning services.
00
The Coast
[ ]The Beach
White sand beaches as far as the eye can see. Small tiki bars and large umbrellas are set up for convenience. The ocean is shallow for quite some ways before it steadily grows deeper. Whales and dolphins aren't uncommon, and while sharks don't usually attack, they are spotted. Nets are set up to deter some wildlife, but it doesn't always work. Lifeguards are on duty.
00
[ ]Luminescent Harbor
A well known harbor along west coast that is both known for and named after the bioluminescent algae they've inplanted into the ocean floor that allow ship captains to see at night. Rows and rows of docks and sips line the harbor. On shore is a small building that is both the docking agency as well as a small restaurant. The harbor is located inside a large bay with shallow rocky cliffs. Due to the unique glowing waters many come here to swim.
00
[ ]Shell Resort & Spa
Shell Resort & Spa is a glorified, fancy hotel right up against the ocean. They have a spa on the upper levels of their building for those who want to indulge themselves. The pool is a bit of a spectacle; built into the ocean with white stone walls to keep the salt water out as well as serve as a bench for those who wish to sit and look out to sea. A hot tub is built up a few steps up from the pool. As well as lanterns built on the wall the hotel has added glowing underwater lights to light the entire pool at night with a romantic glow.
00
[ ]Paradox Mall
The Paradox Mall is located a few blocks off the coast. The roads are baved in red brick and blocked off to motor vehicles. You walk from one store to the next as they are all located next to each other as well as across the street. There is a large building that houses a few stores together with a food court and bathroom incase the weather gets bad. Fountains and vending machines are placed all over the roads and offer a place to sit.
00
[ ]Oceanic Gym
Oceanic gym is the only gym in Paradox, and it’s a doozy. It’s two stories. Two full sized basketball courts, a racquetball court, and an open court as well as an Olympic sized pool and locker rooms on the main floor. On the upper floor is the gym’s workout area with machines as well as free weights. There’s two yoga rooms that offer kick boxing and other classes for members. One wall is lined with mirrors with two others being full sized windows that overlook the ocean.

The Outskirts
[ ]Old Cemetery
The Paradox cemetary has been around since the development of the city, and while additions have been made to it, not much has changed. The graves are old, cracked and - in some cases - they are falling apart and nearly impossible to read. In the far back there is a large mausoleum where the rich are buried.
00
[ ]Abandoned Buildings
Just outside of town, down an old pot-hole ridden rode, is an abandoned district of Paradox. The buildings are old, run down with broken out windows and heavily graffitied. Most of them are brick buildings while a few of them are large tin pole-buildings. Where there's not dirt the grass has grown tall and wild.
00
[ ]The Woods
More of a forest than woods, it covers hundreds of thousands of acres and connects to a large mountain range twenty-five miles away. The woods are thick and dense but has various clearings, or meadows, scattered throughout. Miles of rivers connect an assortment of lake systems that are a popular attraction to kayakers and canoers. Wild animals are abundant here, but be wary, as not all are bunny rabbits and squirrels. Mountain lions, lynx, bear and wolf are only a few predators that lurk in the woods.
00
[ ]Mountains
Roughly a half an hour away from Paradox is a large mountain rage known as the Miylan Mountains. They aren't extremely high, though still high, but they are wide, and stretch on for miles. The base of them is heavily wooded but slowly thins as you go up as the air becomes thin and the temperature drops. The mountain, in some locations, is always snow covered. Cliffs and rocky outings are common, meaning, avalanches do occur. Along with mountain goat mountain lion are common here.
00
[ ]Red Lodge Resort
Up a narrow, winding mounain road is a fairly large and popular winter resort. They are located at the line where the rock becomes snow covered year-round, and while they are only open in the winter, they do hold annual summer activities such as mud runs and ATV trails. During the winter they have miles of snowboarding and skiing trails as well as snow mobile, snow shoe, and dog sled trails. Log cabin-styled building with fur rugs and stone fire places in every room.
